i've been reading this past year :) it has been lovely. i also love to listen to music. i keep an organized hard drive of all my music, for personal and preservative purposes, and i like to contribute to MusicBrainz :) mostly album artwork, but sometimes i add releases or entire artists and their discographies to the database if necessary (usually for the specific purpose of archiving the respective album artwork)

hobbies are so hard because I really struggle doing things with any significant frequency but being bad at things makes me lose motivation and Ik the only way to improve is consistency but I have no motivation to do so and idk what else to do. that being said I like to play disc golf but haven't scence the fall. I like film and digital photography but expensive so I don't really do it often. I used to play vidya alot but I genuinely haven't turned my PC on in months.

im mainly interested in agriculture/agricultural machinery + computer hardware. i mostly just play farming simulator all day by myself, that's what makes me happy. but i'm going into college for IT, sysadmin shit. i tinkered with linux distros a lot while growing up.

photography is awesome! you do have to look at older equipment to get started with it though. look at the nikon d200, my ex had one and really liked it. it's pretty affordable.

I have a few Nikons already. my favorite is my Nikon d40 and it's really nice and compact. I also have a d90 and a n6006 both of which I bought broken to fix, which I haven't done yet.

i like to explore abandoned buildings and im into photography so like i take photographs of the stuff i explore.

i am big into the goth subculture(not in a cringe TikTok way, i’ve been into it since highschool), old horror and kaiju movies, hiking, DIY, singing, cooking, and i used to be into painting but its been a long time.

I'm way too busy these days for most of my hobbies, but it's usually drawing, painting, paper mache, nature walks and hikes and stuff. Cooking, baking, knitting, cleaning.

i use to be real big into painting but i lost all passion for it, i have completely forgotten how to draw or paint.
meanwhile i have embraced poetry, i like reading poetry craft books, my favorite poets are yeats and larkin.

i came up with my own definition of poetry, "being subtle and indirect through the use of poetic devices, metaphors, and senses"

Suehiro maruo, he did a lot of short vignettes starting in the early 80s, a lot of guro, plot elements focus on taboo topics or behaviors. his longer stories are peak though like Tomino the Damned (it’s on mangadex, I couldn’t put it down once I started) and the camellia girl
(shōjo tsubaki) which is a classic of the genre. I’d also suggest any work by one of my favorite artists Kazuo Umezo, everything, like he’s a little corny at times but it’s such classic horror vibes.
