One good thing doesn't make the UK's authoritarianism okay but this can really be a good thing for gays, the whole '15 y/o twink experimenting gayness for the first time by being groomed by a 30+ pedo who delusionally convinces them both it's a good entry point' thing being so engrained into gay culture has long been a bit embarrassing and abject. HOWEVER, if we're going to make it be a good thing we do need to be making sure teens to have access to sex-ed info about gay anal fucking, access to condoms, lube, etc. to experiment with others their own age even if it takes us creating that access ourselves rather than the school authorities. When I was at school as late as ~2007 our sex ed class had one slide on anal sex saying "It's too dangerous, just don't do it". That's just not good enough. I welcome an end to the predatory 'the Greeks did it' larp but we don't what the next cohort of gay boys to grow up to be a generation as sexless as the zoomers, it's just sad for the human spirit collectively.
