Escaping from loneliness is as simple, if not easy, as becoming a companion to yourself.
These sort of arrangements aren't escaping loneliness, they're desperately clawing for anything they can get out of fear of being alone and one day they will realize that there isn't a loneliness more crushing and dark than the loneliness you experience in the company of someone else.
I would rather spend the rest of my life by myself than with someone I don't love, or have to convince myself I love.

So I recently met a girl who is my type. We have been seeing each other for about a couple of months so its pretty new. Shes very cute, my type, very sweet to me and also very knowledgeable about the world.

Shes also a raging zionist. Like, conversations around Israel come up pretty regularly. I think she is also holding back a bit because lately she seems to have ramped up a bit, describing every news outlet that might disagree with her as "propaganda" and every middle eastern person she doesn't like as a "terrorist". she also watches the news constantly, and said that Trump has "some good ideas but mostly terrible ones".

A few months ago I was crushing hard on this hardcore vegan girl, the sort who regularly goes out on high-profile protests. I started to plan how I was gonna give up meat to be with her.
