The “I became gay after T” thing actually makes sense for ftms. Gay men are basically men that are so masculine that even other men are feminine enough to be objects of desire, and ftms are females that are so masculine that they don’t fit into the female category. So once that’s transposed into the male category, they’d be abnormally masculine as men, and gay.
“HRT made me lesbian” for mtfs doesn’t make sense, though. Lesbians are women that are masculine enough to have male gaze and take the male sexual role. If mtfs are allegedly too feminine for the male role, when transposed they’d just be extremely feminine straight women.
