So, /tttt/, do you think china can surpass the usa as world top dog?
Would a chinese hegemony be better or worse?
Amerimutts have a habit of imposing their culture upon others, but the chinks dont, so its unlikely they will turn other countries into despotism
Still, since the usa has been the largest promoter of lgbt stuff, we can expect lgbt support and tolerancevto decrease quite a bit

Probably not? They have significantly less land area, a bunch of hostile borders to worry about and few foriegn ports to project power from. Also their society and culture is fairly fragile and insular, so they cant project that in a way that matters

it would be interdesting if china entered the console wars against nintendo and sony, i fully expect xbone to die soon

but a communist country isnt really the type of country that will have an open culture it can export

if it does surpass america it will do so economically and maybe militarily, it wont surpass america culturally for a long time if it ever does

china is still great value japan, south korea has more cultural influence than they do. they have no intellectuals or visionary artists, china could never make anything like evangelion or akira both of which still have lingering influences on global pop culture to this day, because chinese media needs to always reflect the values of the party. china has no big 3 global shonenshit series (db, one piece, naruto), and if they tried it would just seem like imitation. china has no hollywood either, japan is quickly filling the vacuum america is leaving as their media flops anyway.

China is much more fragile than what it looks like to people from the outside who are not very familiar with the country. China effectively is the CCP and the CCPs grip on power is extremely tenuous.

Looking into my crystal ball, this is what I think the world will look like in ~20 years:
>The Chinese military will stage a coup against the CCP but will not be able to consolidate their rule, splintering the country into a collection of little china's ala a century ago
>The US will increasingly become globally irrelevant and probably start tearing itself apart as its ailing government structures finally give way
>Russia will either balkanize or its non-russian minorities in the east will form their own singular break-away state, Russia proper will basically become an improvised failed state with nuclear and chemical weapons stockpiles
>The EU is a wild card and will either break up into bickering statelets or will finally federalize and become the defacto world hegemon
Generally, I think the future is going to be much more regional and inward looking then it is now. So the ability for any one culture to export its culture will be much more limited.
So I would expect things to stay much the same as they are now in whatever region of the world you live in.
The only exception is if the EU does actually federalise. That could be a real boon to queer rights globally.

just accept it lmao we all have our night, atleast you got a good 60-80 or so years before the US devolves into a failed state like the UK

China military doctrines have undergone a massive revitalization, they're allies with Russia who no doubt helps train Chinese military brass and China's PLA has the largest number of active personal in the world, more than America.

China can't invade the US, but it certainly can invade Taiwan and then stop the US from liberating it.

they already tried and failed. If they could now they would have already done it. Also, while the usa sucks at fighting guerrillas, they are the very best at liberations.
If the ccp tries to take taiwan, they gonna have some part of their territory liberated out of them

>still trying to catch up with a country that is less than 300 years old
lol you are so ignorant of world history and this comment proves it

America
>formed 300 years ago by highly educated immigrants from the most rich and prosperous place on earth
>practically immune to the mass destruction wrought on Europe by world war 1 and 2
>in fact, profited massively off it thanks to loans and attracting huge investment in its own industry
>also benefitted from the huge european brain drain that happened during all of these wars, as well as the slave labour
>has maintained a gigantic imperial hegemony for centuries, even countries like SK and JP have been practically groomed to benefit the USA economy
>culturally homogenous because the USA genocided the indigenous population and surpressed any outspoken minority group via literal CIA psyops

China
>Ravaged for centuries by imperial Japan and the European powers
>literally turned into a nation of drug addicts thanks to the British empire
>constantly beset by civil wars and disunity until very recently
>lost its entire intellectual class after the cultural revolution
>yet...
>completely eliminated drug use in under century
>went from a 15% literacy rate to 95%+ literacy rate in a century (illiteracy is concentrated in autonomous regions like Tibet which the west props up despite it's government-in-exile being a literal pedophile in a cult of personality LMAO)
>went from an industrial backwater to the second biggest economy on the planet in a century
>hyper modern civilian infrastructure, 2x longer high speed railway network than every other country on earth combined
>won the race to thorium nuclear reactors
>forced the US to back down in an unprovoked senseless trade war
>has realistic plans to securing real earth minerals (buying land from Africa) as opposed to the US (annexing land from its own allies)

>>Didnt that happen after the brits sank the entire chinese armada with just 16 ships? Lol. They had the advantage of longer range guns, but how comes the brits had better guns when the chinese invented guns?
>How did China fall so far behind
It didn't, rather Europe exploded forward, largely due to the fact that it started to colonize the entire planet. Now that Europe has been forced to give up it's colonial holdings it's China that's leaping forward.
>How did they ever let it get so bad? Oh, right, their written language is garbage
Western bias cope, while some language reforms have been credited with improving chinese literacy rates, the real driving force is just improvements to standard of living under the CCP, who needs to read and write when you're a substenance farmer peasant and/or born to a family of opium addicts?
>Lmao [drug use]
Now lets take a look at the US's numbers shall we
uh oh, this is just opoids too hahahahaaa, no wonder the US literacy rates are declining too hahahahahaa

It's telling that all you can do is criticise the failings of the Qing dynasty, an entity which has been overthrown more than century ago. China under the CCP is much, much stronger than it was before, meanwhile the USA is not only hated by the most of the planet, but is increasingly becoming alienated from its own allies and is literally crumbling under Russian electoral manipulation and a divisive culture war.

Oh, and since you was making a thinly veiled attempt to accuse the Chinese of somehow being innately inferior to the West, I thought I'd post pic related

Remember, China still has a few underdeveloped regions/autonomous regions that they're still bringing up to speed, so this gap will only widen soon

Really, it makes more sense to think of modern China has being a seperate entity entirely from the old imperial China, and in that case, China is making significantly faster progress than the US is in virtually every positive metric. But go on, simp for your failing oligarch mafia state.
