Hi, I'm 18 MtF and I plan on starting DIY HRT in the next month or two. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for getting started. Are there things I should do before I begin, or things to keep in mind during my transition? I just want to make sure there isn't anything I mess up during all of this. Any help is appreciated! :>

get your levels checked after 2-3 months. Go with injections. If those are hard use an autoinjector.

Oh, I thought an autoinjector came with it ;-;. For the bloodtests/levels, should I only get that checked like once or do I need to do that every 2-3 months after the first time?

autoinjector are not even commonly used, union medico is really the only good source to my knowledge. Helps with injections if (like me) you have injection anxiety. For levels, get ytour first after 2-3 months, then again in 3 months. Then you can do another every 3 until the first year or just do one at the end of the year. Then every 6 months is fine. If you are buying valerate inject every 5 days instead of every week

if youre going to use prog/progestins wait 4 years after starting HRT
monotherapy is the second best method, dont switch from mono to E + cpa, spiro, bica or whatever
every E route of administration is equally effective but oral works differently and has side effects, sublingual/buccal levels are unstable. injections are the easiest to reach high levels and the most convenient by far
if on mono aim for the lowest E levels that suppresses LH, FSH completely instead of injecting infinite E
blood tests are important
