All I want is one of those funny-ass group chats with 3 men where everyone gets together every now and then and plays, like. Marvel Rivals or something. Pretty much everyone I meet is either massively transphobic, or extremely flirtatious. I don't know how to meet normal men. I'm transfem but I just want one of those nice group chats with some new friends without it becoming a polycule or people being weird. It feels like a nearly impossible task because I don't relate to many other trans people.

It's extremely difficult to meet new people because I'm extremely shy in public and I feel bad adding randoms from my games. I am also incredibly scared of accidentally friending a minor and then having to unfriend them simply because I want adult friends.

Unironically every online friend I had back then was older than me... Now I'm the older one and everyone online is younger. What the fuck is happening.

Unfortunately, I was undiagnosed with several mental disorders in that era so I couldn't really do much in terms of social interaction. I'm medicated and seemingly relatively normal now, so I'm just trying to look into getting what I want now that I know I can maintain it.

That's the difficult part. Some people just don't work out. Differing schedules, ideals, attachment styles, typing styles, varying ways people discuss and handle emotions, it's very easy for a situation to just... end. Whether it fizzles out or blows up. Just know there's hope for all of us if the effort is put in. I genuinely do believe in you, anon/nona. ^^

I'm just not fully sure where to start. I don't really know where normal guys with jobs and lives hang out other than games I personally do not enjoy.

I feel like it's because most people back then had to have the resources to acquire a computer because it was generally more rare. I grew up slightly before the modern day internet, so I remember when search queries worked and the internet wasn't such a shitfest, even if it was just 12 or so years ago. Granted, all I really did was play Minecraft on public servers.

Nowadays every kid is growing up with an ipad in one hand and a mouse in the other. It feels like it's been far more normalized. I see so many people who grow up spewing hatred simply because they think it's appropriate on the internet, not knowing how good it feels to be kind, genuine, and just be yourself.
