tried this on /adv/ but forgot about the trans/homophobic incels on there. I'm new to dating as a was with a highschool gf for a while, but I'm pan, so I'll date any gender and ik that lesbians don't really care but what about guys? Would you want your date to tell you they're trans on the first date.

tell them over text, before the first date when you're still talking. Better to do it over text rather than in person incase they have a bad rection or attempt to physically harm you

Worrying about this has made it so hard to feel okay dating people I meet out and about in the world

You're well within your right to not tell... but, imho, the smart thing to do is to reveal it asap. The longer you keep it from them, the higher risk for them to get upset and possibly hurt you for "lying." Granted you unfortunately run the risk of that regardless, but the sooner you tell them, the better chance they just walk away if they don't like it.
