That's why eugenics was popular before WWII and took a dive after, because the narrative went from us vs them (which did justify abuses!) to 'they're eventually coming for all of us!(which prevents solving real problems)'
Hopefully, eventually things will return to a happy medium, but in the mean time I try to speak out against both extremes. Gene editing before birth is almost always good. Keep it up scientists.
