"intersex" is such a broad term it means nothing by itself. whenever some uses it but doesn't specifies what condition they have it's never one that actually makes someone sexually ambiguous.
when a trans person claims to be intersex: if amab, 99% of time it's klinefelter's; if afab, 99% of the time it's pcos

Klinefelter's is like 10-100 times more common than nearly every other DSD so of course it's always that.
PCOS is over 100 times more common than even Klinefelter's.
For the ambiguous DSDs back in my day they had a surgeon "fix" it and may never have told you about it. So not only are they rare but you may not even know you have one. Though there are generally clues, like having had your gonads removed for "cancer."
