I'm torn between repressing hard, and just andromoding at this point. I can't access HRT safely, and there's nowhere affordable to live near me, so I must live with my transphobic family who sees my existence as a personal insult.

The idea of repressing hard ofc makes me highly uncomfortable enough to want to vomit, but would make things a bit safer for me. However, I think everyone knows I'm a repressor at this point: I get asked my pronouns by random young-middle aged mothers whenever I'm forced to interact with them due to my job, and people mix up gendered honorifics every other sentence when they have to use them. I also do know people have placed bets on me trooning out. I am malebrained to the point where my current girlmoding is easy as shit to see through if the onlooker has at least half a braincell, or so I've been told.

For andromoding, would probably be the easiest for me, I already do actually like presenting as androgynous to a degree; I'm not nonbinary, I'm FTM, and fairly comfortable in my masculinity, I just like confusing people and seeing them get mad that they can't tell what I am, it's just a bit of trolling. I have a pretty androgynous looking face, and my voice is very deep. This would be more dangerous, however. I've cut my hair once and people were very passive aggressive and almost threatening.

As for my family: they'd be thrilled with my hard repression, though smug, because they do know, and they'd either shut up, or hold it over my head. With andromoding, they'd probably give me some shit, then chill out after a while; funnily enough, they're fine with the idea of me being GNC, just not trans.

So, strategically, should I larp harder as a masc lesbian, or just say "fuck it" and do a little trolling by being as androgynous as humanly possible?
