Let's say thay hypothetically, you are the Count of Champagne in the year 1233 and you send your stupid middle son to the court of Louis IX so he can be educated among the brightest and finest men of the kingdom.

One year later you have to go to Reimss to attend a stupid assembly or whatever and you find your son to be long-haired, dressed with the most beautiful Flanders dresses and flirting with the brightest and finest men of the court. How would you react?

I'd pretend he was a woman all along and hope he marries one of Louis IX's sons. Not what I expected would happen but you gotta adapt.
If he did find a husband, I'd take advantage of this closer relationship with France to have an affair with the previous king's wife. You know, priorities.
