I'm writing an utena fanfiction (which is lesbian and im trans so its ON TOPIC). and it's very easy to understand why wakaba likes utena. so it's easy to write wakaba as a realistic person.

but i cant figure out why utena likes wakaba. utena is a lot like me, but if i had a hyperactive clingy normie girl as a friend she would scare me and make me avoidant. i love wakaba as a character but if i knew her irl and she acted like she does towards utena that would scare me.

so can someone who Gets It, who is friends/lovers with the hyperactive affectionate type of women, explain the appeal to me? i would like to be able to write utena realistically. thank you
