Idk much about amounts with valerate, but clotting isn't really ever going to be a concern with modern bioidentical estrogens. Your clotting risk will pretty much always just be that of a regular woman. You can also pretty reasonably inject a little bit less often than that if you want and take an appropriately adjusted dose.>>40523775

It's from a homebrew provider (astrovials), so it might not be bioidentical. I inject slightly high and slightly more frequent because of fast metabolism and physical labor job which could speed up absorbtion for me. But next shot i'll dose down a little.

I might be remembering wrong, but if I know my blood chemistry I think prog works by blocking testosterone receptors in your cells so it stays in blood, where that alpha-5 reductase or whatever enzyme converts it to DHT. Finn works because it rids you of that enzyme, so it is the exact thing that would prevent you from getting DHT from prog.

1 month ago I was taking 4.8mg EEn, and my SHBG was 125 nmol/l and E was 500 pg/ml and my DHT was 20 ng/dl
I lowered my dosage in the hopes it helps in general because hrt has not been effective in general for me at all and also specifically to lower SHBG maybe and now my DHT is 40 ng/dl

okay, since you wanna be a pedantic ass redditor, bicalutamide disrupting the function of the AR in your hypothalamus raises GnRH levels, which increases LH, which increases T levels. That negative feedback loop is what I mean by "tries to compensate", and raised T levels from bica is literally one of its most studied side effects.

are they literally going to arrest you for having high estrogen levels? surely there are private clinics that offer blood tests and dont give a fuck about someone having their hormones out of whack since their job is just testing blood. even without an endo you will be a lot better off knowing what's actually going on. it sounds like your T isn't suppressed enough. you say E dosage doesnt make a difference so i would definitely consider a different supplier or formulation but again without a blood test it is just guesswork

the main concern with injecting with your draw up needle is sticking it in the vial will dull it significantly which will make the injection more painful. as long as you clean off your vial and don't touch your needles like normal sterility shouldn't be too much of a concern.

in any case an endo is who you want to see, maybe you can do a phone consultation to figure out what you'd have to bring (diagnoses, getting blood tests beforehand, etc). a general practitioner might not really be well versed enough on the topic of gender transition to even refer you to an endocrinologist.

what i did was ask on a few discords about how HRT is prescribed here and some transpeople gave me a bunch of endos and psychs that are educated on the subject, and i have to pay out of pocket for tests and consultations.

honestly though i would only DIY as a last resort, having a prescription at the very least means you don't need to rely on buying bathtub estrogen and overpriced AAs with crypto that may or may not arrive on time, and you have at least SOME medical guidance throughout the whole thing, even if your endo isn't the most knowledgeable on transitioning specifically they still can help interpret your lab results and such

i get that its really hard to look someone in the eyes and tell them about how you wanna be a girl but eh, just keep the focus on gender dysphoria and how it affects your life, you can dump some sad anime backstory to strengthen ur case ofc but typically what they care about is how intense your GD is and how it affects your life

I tried lowering my dose to 4mg Ev/5days and my E dropped to the lower 200s which caused T to start climbing back up to 100 and LH went up as well. Might lower it to 4.5mg and see how that does but it seems odd for only a 1mg difference to cause such a large drop in E. Ideally I think sitting between 300-350 might be ideal but honestly I can't find a super conclusive answer on what E should be at. Is the upper 400s really okay? My doctor seems to be okay with my levels but I don't trust him much desu

this is such a specific question so its near impossible to answer, but as long as your levels aren't absurdly high you'll be fine

if you are otherwise healthy then the increased risk is negligible. i really recommend you just read more data about things that increase clotting risk so you can see that there are just tons of risk factors and ones that are far worse than HRT. like obesity or smoking.

at least that's what helped soothe my worries a bit.

Blood clots aren't a super big concern with injections.
Unless you're seriously megadosing yourself it isn't too big of a concern. If you're really worried I'd recommend not injecting more than blood tests show you need, however.

it depends if they're intramuscular or subcutaneous injections
if they're subcut, they're very easy to do, just look for a tutorial on subcut injections and you will see how it takes 1 min to do just like a insulin injection. just do it on your belly fat or butt fat, thigh fat, etc

if they're intramuscular you will need to be a little bit more cautious
i like to do my intramuscular injections on the outer part of my thigh (vastus lateralis muscle)
you give some small flicks on the siringue to make the air bubbles from when you sucked the medicine go to the top, then just release it (but desu air bubbles ON MUSCLE arent that big of a problem specially bc in that small quantity, the injection would be just a little bit more painful. on a vein it gets more dangerous)
you insert the needle and aspire to see if sucked blood or air. if its air, you're in the muscle and safe to inject it. if it came back blood, you got into a vein, DO NOT INJECT IT. just remove it and try inserting it like one cm to the side

You can still look good even if you transition in your 30s. I would recommend upping your dose to 3mg as a bare minimum if you wanna see significant changes. Do injections (easier to budget and more effective on the body) blood clot risk is also reduced if you inject estradiol directly instead of processing it through your liver. My advice is to not even try to do the nb thing. Just keep taking the E until you are sufficiently changed and come out as a trans woman. Nobody takes being nb seriously anyway. Depending on where you live, DIY might be the best path instead of going through all the roadbumps of medical bureaucracy. Check OP's links and go to diyhrt wiki. You can do this.
