i don't think there is. i've felt this way to some degree since i was a little kid, i remember being 5 years old and learning about reincarnation and wanting to be reincarnated as a girl. became much more physically and emotionally painful when i hit puberty

because people accept that men and women are a binary in a way they don't about straight and gay - most view gay as an intentional act of rebellion by people who could conform if they wanted to - and you internalized that belief
