I'm sick and tired of seeing the piss poor standards in homebrew estradiol. Having a lot of knowledge (autistic hyperfixation) of the back end of both anabolics and the current and historical HRT market), the low standards and quality are honestly a garbage thing to see. This is especially in recent times.

Things i've personally seen

1: Hairs, dust, or rust in vials

2: Crappy formulations with 40%+ Benzyl Benzoate, which are never needed and are basically just thinning out and having you inject a scabies medicine. Also causes reactions in the vast majority of people. This is why a lot of people say to inject IM, it's because the irritation is less noticeable when it's injected deeper.

3: Shitty amazon/GMC carrier oils. Crap excipients

4: No Benzyl alcohol vials (absolutely unacceptable in a multi use vial)

5: No third party testing

6: Underage anime porn boxes with instructions to keep away from parents. Basically advertising directly to U18's, terrible optics.

Given the price comparison to the anabolics market, it's frustrating to see how little pride many vendors take in making their product. I've seen MA projects that give stuff away that have higher standards for what they do.

Not all anabolic vendors are great, in fact a lot are worse than estradiol vendors, but their best vendors are better than DIYHRT suppliers by a long shot. The FtM's take a W here.

If you're gonna charge for a vial, have some standards and buy proper lab equipment, put some effort into what you do. Lives are at stake.

In fairness to homebrewers, they are more or less just copying pharma company recipes.
It's fine for most people, and those who don't have good luck with it can simply buy from Voix Celeste or OpenGateLabs.

the one i got had somewhere like a 20-30% concetration of benzyl benzoate and also had benzyl alcohol
overall i have not had any reactions so far aside from sometimes slight muscle soreness the next day if i fuck up the injection,
my levels were also exactly as predicted going off the testing for concentration (it was somewhere around like 39.5mg/ml
no particulate matter, rust, or hair in mine either
overall im happy with my diy enough that i use it over the legit estradiol cypionate im prescribed because it's just easier to inject 0.15ml vs 0.75ml
the rubber stopper is also good quality, much better than legit ones which were so bad that a piece fell into my medication one time even though it's punctured much less over it's lifetime, the little container for it was also good and easy to use

interesting complaints
personally after doing diy for a few years I have never seen hair or other contaminants in the vials
I haven't been paying attention to benzyl benzoate concentration, but at most I would get very mild allergic reactions to otokonoko sometimes
the carrier oils are pretty much always better than you get from pharma because they use thinner oils that are easier to inject
third party testing is common
and anime on the boxes is exclusive to otokonoko. It kinda seems like you just don't like otokonoko and are generalizing the entire industry. Anyway you're acting like a credit card company about some harmless hentai, personally I do have one of those boxes as a collector's item and a piece of memorabilia.

FWIW I went with Lena and the vial looked pristine, no evidence of contamination to my eyes. Unlike some homebrewers she has the decency to leave the metal cap on the rubber stopper cover. 50mg/ml isn't for everyone though, although it's been fine for me.

Also, might as well, short needle rant time:
For DIY, all you ever need are fixed 1ml insulin needles. You waste less that way. There's a hilarous graph on that keffals site that says that such needles are "very rare outside of medical institutions" which is crazy because I know of fucking druggies using this shit for fucks sake

I make my own for myself and they're fine. No visible contam. I don't add benzyl benzoate, 10mg/ml concentration, and use chlorobutanol instead of benzyl alcohol (slightly altered Pfizer formula)
I use a still air box and depyrogenize my vials and equipment beforehand. Vials also get a dry sterilization after crimping.
I have yet to suffer any negative effects and my levels are spot on

I'd go with made-in-china. Some vendors will bitch and want you to order a kg but thats waaaay too much unless you're making enough for a large community. Just order like 10-20 grams for a couple hundred bucks depending on the seller. I got 10 the first time and 20 the second. 10gs is enough for 38 years if you keep it out of light and away from moisture (5mg/wk)

But in all seriousness, if you're just starting out, make some E gel first to get a feel for it. The risk of fucking up E gel is much lower, and almost non-existant when used. Injections have to be done right from start to finish or else you could kill yourself from sepsis.

heres the actual critique btw OP:

- otokonoko do not filter their vials, or do so poorly. we have evidence in homebrew circles of microparticles in the vials implying this. theyre not the only vendor with a reputation for poor or absent filtration efforts.
- most vial formulations are bad, failing to balance convenience with reactions. no matter who you buy a vial from someone somewhere will be getting lumps from it, and we only have so many vendors.
- prices are way higher than high quality roid vendors per vial. those who arent expensive have other downsides.

there is at least one roid vendor selling injectable estradiol, but the concentration is comically low (10mg/ml). i really hope this changes, the homebrew community needs a serious shakeup.

the box art means literally fucking nothing, i couldnt give a fuck if theres straight up gay sex on the vial box so long as the vial itself is good.

also im pretty sure lillians tablet production technique is terrible. not beyond whats common with cheap anabolics, but still not ideal and not comparable with pharma stuff.

There's good reasons for this. Pfizer does 5mg/ml.
No reason to add benzyl benzoate to increase solubility, one less chemical to risk irritation
Lower concentration means you won't use the vial as long, reducing the risk of compromising the integrity of the rubber seal. Less holes and holes wont get large enough to let in contam
