>>40585516 (OP)I believe that one's long term mood during their death impacts the outcome of their "afterlife". By that, I don't mean some divine eternity but the state you last experience and therefore, from your perspective, view as never ending.
Suicide is often performed due to suffering, and dying in a long term state of suffering will lead to a higher probability of a horrifying "afterlife". That will be your eternity and it will likely be far more tormenting than anything you've dealt with. Terrifying visions. The sensation of being buried alive. Disorientation. Having a rotting male body teeming with maggots. All of this will be a product of your dying mind but it will seem real and immediate.
When you have a longer time to live your life, you gain wisdom. You are better able to deal with suffering. You stop caring so much. You will be better able to grapple with the true test, which will be unlike anything you can imagine in your current living state.
