I was scared of this and ignored discord or even posting under an account for a while, which was partially good, but in many ways isolating and a mistake. Discords involve large power imbalances, and I’ve been banned or dropped off using any I’ve found eventually, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t found friends and meaningful moments and opportunities in such places.
I recommend you take a look at discords which relate to your interests and try to be yourself, and accept that most people you meet will not be true friends, but try to show them kindness without harming yourself.
As for sexuality, I’ve sexted a few people and been ok. I assume eventually someone will get crazy, I often avoid it.

last month in one of the lgbtq+ servers I saw a webm of some overweight naked girl crying in a discord call being abused by the 3 guys there, the 2nd half of the webm was the father coming in and trying to yell at these guys which didn't go anywhere as they kept calling her a disgusting whore PoS that should be raped to death and not in a good way.

I have a feeling she's into degredation and the 'father' is her older bf. otherwise there are so many red flags to what I saw that I would probs leave these servers alltogether.
