How does health insurance with tranny stuff work? I am on my parents health insurance, I kinda want to get going on this but obviously having them be too involved would be weird. I can ask dad for insurance info, he knows but I would prefer to not talk to him about it too much.

If this is just a lame question about adulting and not tranny stuff then sorry fuck you anyways.

Insurance doesnt cover any surgery anymore. It covers some types of estrogen (pills, sublingual) and doesnt others (injection, patches). Spiro is covered tho.

Do they cover bloodwork? This is the only one I really care about, shits expensive and being a dickgirl sounds funny anyways.

Twice a month for me. Its used to be covered more but with the current legislation that shit skyrocketed when they dropped a bunch of stuff. sublingual is like $30. Patches are about 80 (if ur lucky and need 1-2 instead of 4-6 patches). But fr injections are the way to go. GoodRX covers more then my insurance these days

How would I go about using GoodRX to get myself injections? Keep in mind I am basically barely an adult, i've never had to deal with all this medical stuff before.

Sublingual actually got my hormones within range so quick and easily. Its not less effective its just harder to deal with the mood swings. If u are consitent with when u dose u should be fine

If you want health insurance to pay for your tranny pills then you're going to have to talk to him about it.

So uhh, this is embarrising but lets say I called up one of those informed consent places. How exactly, does insurace work? Do I like, need to take my dads insurance card and pray I don't cost him more than 50 bucks if insurance doesnt 100% cover it?

Blue state? Mine originally only covered the 1960s style penile inversion and even dropped that this year. I have the states insurance (not medicare)
