I noticed he was very isolated from the men and women he sat at the lab table with (this was a chemistry class and lecture was in the lab that day), so I worked up the gumption to go ask hey are you...like me? And his smile ! We struck up an immediate friendship, I would even say camaraderie as two trans people who had a lot to complain about with the general trans milieu, talks about religion, about philosophy, about literature, and just casual shooting of the shit about video games or current events or whatever. I saw him go from hiding himself to standing a little taller and growing his circle of friends. He's a super respectful guy with a great personality that I think is gonna make some lucky man or lady very lucky
