traditional sexuality and gender rules were only able to be established because they were a satisfactory set of rules to deal with the conditions that existed in their time. calling it peer pressure from dead people makes it sound like you're describing a petty fad, but it's actually principles people organized their lives around so they could thrive. if you think they could be changed or improved to account for differences in our modern conditions then fine, but these rules went through the trials of many years again and again across huge populations of people so it's a little silly to throw them out completely in favor of something else before you understand what you're dealing with
