it's fine. it looks very rounded with no recession at the temples. if you're on hrt you have nothing to worry about and it will only look better as it grows out. if you are really concerned add duta to your regimen

does duta have side effects or does it cause shedding?

none that hrt doesn't already give you. you will very likely go through a shed phase when you start but ymmv. it can be distressing if you're as nuerotic about your hair as most mtfs are, but stick with it and it will improve before you know it

i suffer from male pattern baldness and have spent hundreds if not thousands of hours of my time researching this bs in hopes of regrowing my hair. your hairline is definitely receding and i see diffuse thinning. but its not bad, this would be easy to hide with the right hairstyle. i also have a widows peak and its hard for people who dont have one to tell if youre balding or not because they tend to give fucked up hairlines. im not trans (but im sure whatever medications theyd put you on to be a woman would help) so my only advice is a DHT blocker, start with fin switch to dut if its not working, and min. i personally am only on topical min that i apply once a day and am seeing good results but itll only be temporary unless i get on a dht blocker. also be wary of min you buy online, tons of it is fake. people claim you need a prescription to get dht blockers but you dont, theres multiple websites you can buy them from that require nothing other than your money and shipping address. overall though your issues are really minor but catching them early and correcting them is the way to do it. now some people even start fin when theyre like 18 to prevent any hairloss. i unfortunately waited longer than i should have and have a seriously fucked up hairline. the front is all thin and receding but the back is insanely thick.

is there any hope for mine (>>40609788) with just minoxidil atp or do i just save up for hairline lowering surgery
it's been like this for years so i worry the follicles are pretty dead, i'm on hrt for over a year and there's been about zero regrowth from that alone with nuked T

While people here are talking about hair, I started minoxidil foam at the corners of my hairline about three months ago and now the entire 'bald' areas are filled with tiny white hairs. Does this mean that it's going to work eventually or can it just stop here?

With just Minoxidil? I'm a little doubtful, but it could be worth trying anyways. But even then, min will never get you back to 100%.

Might take a few growth cycles but I'm pretty sure it should come back. The fact that the bald areas are getting filled in is promising

In this case, you might consider starting with Minoxidil alone to increase hair strength and volume, as it may also help recover lost hair. You shouldn't need Finasteride or Dutasteride since your testosterone levels are fully suppressed, preventing the conversion to DHT

Also, if you believe the hair thinning to be a recent occurrence, you should consider getting blood work panels done for your hormones, iron, and thyroid to identify the underlying cause. While you will be treating your hair, you may likely lose those gains over time

thanks a lot, i’ll keep that in mind!!

it isn’t really recent and a blood work panel is quite out of reach financially rn, i do them sometimes for my hormones, but now im too broke to afford them (i can’t talk with my doctors about hrt so going the official way is not possible for me)

i guess ill just buy some minoxidil, and try that. i’ve also been taking vitamin B7 tablets for about a month now and my hair is definitely growing faster, maybe my hairline will improve from that.

No problem
>i guess ill just buy some minoxidil, and try that
Just remember to be patient. It may induce a shedding phase, which you will find concerning, but it will subside as you continue to treat the areas
