well that was kinda the point it was a bunch of psyop shit to distract from the actual issue - conservatives are totally against flamboyant gays having power or being in positions where they are around kids (Comet attracts a lot of upper-middle class families who live nearby with little kids who want gourmet pizza)
Most people aren't fully aware of conservatives trying to demonize gays interacting with kids - and the "gays are pedos" meme is a big part of that - they want to prevent social integration.
