Probably a long term distraction from focusing on real trans issues that make the community less stressed. I mean yeah we have more underemployment than most other demographics and have higher poverty rates, yeah sure they oddly face homelessness more hate crimes. And yeah sure they have to deal with fearmongering from their own country and strained family relationships thanks to FOX News and podcasters, but what about the bathrooms? But muh prison?

The truth is that nobody cares about passing trannies. The right is reacting to the lilytino types to finally score a win against the left, who has been using weaponized empathy to push in the other direction for a while.

The small minority of people who genuinely have a problem with passing transpeople using bathrooms will always exist and only gain power when other influences (like lilytino) give them legitimacy to the broader public.
