Why isn’t there any good ftm media? There are dozens of shows and movies basically glorifying mtf as some cool thing for attractive people, but everything with ftms is either an accidentally transmisandrist hallmark movie written by women (3 generations) or emasculating fetish content (dead end). The only non-shit appearance I can even think of is Chaz Bono in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

In order for trans male media to be what you desire, our guy is going to have to be powerful and competent. Think leadership, mentorship, a protective figure. Either materially rich or rich in skill, connections, values, etc. A traditionally masculine figure. Pre-established and not upcoming, like Rafiki or Mufasa rather than Scar or Simba.
I think there's some truth to the card. Creators refuse to portray doods as cool and powerful, even in fantasy worlds where you can make anything you want.
