people always say transitioning after 16 is pointless but what actually changes so much from then to like 18 or 19 that makes it over, i thought the main changes of puberty already happened by 16? And what can you even do at 16 before you're a legal adult that can sustain yourself if your parents are against it all... is it just over

nothing

exactly why after 16 is too late
>And what can you even do at 16 before you're a legal adult that can sustain yourself if your parents are against it all

If I had started at 16 I wouldn't need FFS. My brow was so flat back then and my jaw was so much less masculine.
>is it actually over past 16?
No. It's just that the years get worse as time goes on. You can still potentially pass if you start in your twenties.
This board won't believe it, but I know a trans woman who transitioned in her late 30s and she actually passes, albeit after FFS first, and it's been like 12 years since then.

there are ppl that transition in their 30s and end up fine, and have their timelines reposted
then there are anons that make up excuses no matter the age
whatever your current age is, it will always be better now than starting at current age + 1
but certain ppl seem to not be able to progress, and that can be at any age

i don't have pills :(
im pretty sure i can't get any for some time, puberty blockers are banned for under 18's in the uk and idek how to get hrt but i assume it'd need parental consent under 18

Thanks :)
Also, if you're OP, don't take this as me saying you should delay transitioning. Now is the best time if you can manage it.
But yeah, it's not necessarily over if you find yourself at age 25 not having transitioned yet. Even the measurements dooming seems like brain worms. Having a 32 inch underbust rib cage is fine but people act like anything above 30 dooms you.

thanks anon, uh about the rib cage measurements, my rib cage is massive like my underbust measurement is.. 35in, i think it's a genetic curse, even my female family members have large rib cages. Is that actually too far past 30 for me to not be doomed. Other than that i think im alright in measurements but its a big insecurity of mine.its not wide when looking from the front on but its very far forward like from the side profile its very noticeable, if that makes any difference

That does suck. I still don't think it dooms you. It's in the range of normal bra sizes, and people here report being stealth with 36 inch underbusts. Good luck, OP.

It depends on rate of puberty. I transes at 16 but had late puberty so still had a feminine build no facial or male location body hair and my voice barely changed(was androgynous on the voice training app). So waiting 2 years would have made it so over. But for other people it was already over

Also if your parents won't let you trans you have 2 options assuming MtF

DiY HRT plus part time job or DiY orchiectomy

holy fuck I love that album so much. Sunday is like top song of all time. as for the other stuff I'd say it's worth a shot. I started at 18 and while it will probably be a couple of years and some effort until I pass I'm significantly more happy with my body and not going bald. im definitely more andro but I show boyfriend my pics from when I was 18 and he says he can't believe how much of a man I was then as compared to now 2 years later.

My UB is 36 and I'm deep stealth. Women come in all shapes. As long as your voice and face passes and you don't have mega shoulders with teeny hips you will pass

it depends but my opinion is biased because i transitioned at 19y. I have a bf and i feel i look pretty ok but i still use the male toilets out of anxiety and dudes inside always tell me its the wrong toilet so I seem to pass at first glance

i started hrt at 28 (yes you read that correctly, twenty-fucking-eight) years old, i have had no surgeries apart from vfs, and im a passoid. i pass to brainwormed trans people who think they can clock anyone. i pass in multi-hour conversations. i pass without makeup. strangely enough, a lot of the time i even pass when boymoding. whether youll pass or not is such a case by case basis thing that anyone who exclaims a specific cutoff age where its over is so stupid you should not listen to anything that person says about anything. its like arguing whether its over or not if you have cancer; depends a hell of a lot, doesnt it? some people die within a year and some live for another 70 years. if you want to transition, best you can do is go ahead and give it your best. i thought i could never pass and yet i do.
