I used to be against all lgbtq, but a little over a year ago one of my friends came out as gay and since about 7 months I have been thinking about my own identity, I was assigned male at birth, but I really want to be a girl, I have tried some female clothes because I wanted to know and I did feel more like a girl and liked it, nobody knows this uet not even my parents and I'd like to keep it like that for atleast a bit, the only one who knows a tiny bit is my gay friend and he has helped me a little. But how do I go further like how do I know what I want ?

like other anon said only you know what you want, and just because you have some interest doesn't mean you have to fall down the rabbit hole to achieve someone else's design of a goal. I too like to cross dress and look feminine in colloquial settings but I don't really have a desire to make it permanent or make it my identity or anything, and this I am content with. Obviously it is fine if you go deeper but you should just wait for your own volition to inform it rather than getting a bunch of opinions from people who personally had transitioning work for them. In short just give it time and if the desire is there, its there.

in our experience we end up waiting till an existential crisis pulls us out of repping, and by then youre doomed to being clocky forever. hrt does nothing for the first few months anyways so the decision isnt permanent

HRT doesn't really change how you look that much, it's moreso stopping your body from getting manlier, all the feminization comes from makeup, working out and letting your hair grow
