In the original script, Yrliet was swapped for an evil clone by Tervantias the Haemonculus, and that clone was the one that tricked you into going to Commorragh
You'd then have a choice of keeping your new dark eldar Yrliet or rescuing the original, annoying Yrliet.
That's why Tervantias keeps banging on about cloning, which never really becomes relevant.
Playtesters were too retarded to understand what was happening so it was hastily rewritten.
