Like others have said, z-track. I've had issues with that but I solved it by prodding the area to see if there is pain and then switching spots if there is because nerves. Try to inject the needle as fast as you can but not too rough. Push it all the down against your skin and inject. When finished, leave it in for about 5-10 seconds. Then, hold the skin down as you pull out the needle. Have a bandage and a wipe prepared just in case of leakage. You are not losing that much with a tiny drop of E coming out, and it just happens sometimes. Avoiding veins and bleeding is the goal. You'll get better at it. Good luck

I’m having a crisis, I just checked my year old vial I used twice 11 months ago.

And I saw a tiny cloud floating inside, kind of like the thick white bits in cum. Aside from that little cluster the liquid inside looked spotless, then I shook it and it dissipated into microscopic particles.

It was kept in it’s protector in my dark cabinet, for months, untouched, the two times I used it I properly disinfected with 91% or 99% isopropyl.

I’m like shitting myself because what if it’s infected? I’m starting again in like a week, and I don’t have money nor time to even think about finding another vial, TeaHRT (where I bought this vial) has ceased and I’m just freaking tf out, I read it could be crystallization but like how would I even be able to tell that.

I don’t know what to do…

theorically its in cis women range. but dr will powers for example want his patients to be on <100pg/mL or <10ng/dL. i wouldnt say to stop prog because its not high, but if you want to lower that level even more you could try bica or add dutasteride twice a week. you can search more about that on his subreddit to see why he believes that, i spent some time there when i was freaking out thinking my DHT was too high bc i forgot to convert from pg/mL to ng/dL lmao

From what I know, durateston causes more pronounced testosterone spikes, although they say they usually take it every 3 weeks for replacement, and I take it every 2 weeks. My estrogen is high, and my testosterone is low (according to the test, at 237). Now I've started durateston, and if it's less than 300...

If you're following proper guides, which aren't hard to find for IM injections, you should be fine. But if you want to have more peace of mind, for IM injections use the z-track method, make sure the needle goes all the way in and check for any leakage of the medication after pulling it out. I don't think you can know if you've been doing it catastrophically wrong outside of getting blood tests, maybe based on how much you bleed and how much it hurt when you did it

Bleeding is usually an injection spot and technique issue. Here's an injection tutorial video if you want to give IM another shot, this is the one I follow and I haven't had any issues with it. https://support.getplume.co/support/solutions/articles/72000544742-all-about-injections
They also have a SubQ one if you want to stick with that instead, though I'm going to give a bit more advice on IM injections since I have some experience with them. A little bit of bleeding is normal for IM, if too much came out you probably didn't do in in the optimal spot (vastus lateralis//outer thigh, middle third vertically, see picrel) but even if you do it right you might get unlucky and nick a blood vessel, but it's fine. If you follow the guide, the only concern with blood coming out is your medication coming out with it, which the z-track method helps prevent

Even then, if the bleeding or any potential pain bothers you I'd reccommend using the thinnest needle you can, which is going to be dependent on the viscosity of the ester you use. MCT oil has a very low one, so you can get away with drawing and injecting with 25g or 27g needles, others like Castor oil are thicker, so you might need lower caliber needles for them, though I wouldn't go any lower than 23g to prevent vial coring if yours uses a rubber stopper

If you do end up switching bak to IM, I'd stick to the thighs, I've read that glute shots aren't recommended anymore, if you pick the wrong spot you can actually fuck yourself up pretty bad bc of the sciatic nerve, same for delt shots but for a different nerve, thighs are by far the safest spot and if you follow the procedure you shouldn't face any major issues, just do thighs and switch legs for each injection to prevent scar tissue from forming and for the sake of proper absorption

So I CAN inject into the rectus femoris? I always insert the needle at like a diagonal angle in relation to my thigh at the limit of the vastus lateralis
I'm confused now
Anonymous No.41413612 [Report] >>41413649 >>41413705
>>41413443
afaik speaking about absorption both are okay as long as you do it at a 90 degree angle relative to the injection site, but injecting into the vastus lateralis is waaay more recommended because it's clear of the major veins and nerves you could damage should you choose to inject into the rectus femoris, so just do vastus lateralis imo

Also the lateral circumflex femoral artery that runs near the vastus lateralis worries me
Where the fuck is it exactly? So I don't prick it?
Anonymous No.41413794 [Report]
>>41413649
It's kind of hard to explain without visuals. Imagine a flat plane on your skin where you're going to inject, say 1/2 an inch by 1/2 an inch with the injection site in the middle. Relative to that plane, you should inject at a 90 degree angle. If you inject in the vastus lateralis, the needle would be a bit tilted compared to the ground, but it shouldn't be at an angle relative to the patch of skin you're injecting into
Anonymous No.41413844 [Report]
>>41413705
The femoral artery doesn't run close to the vastus lateralis, it's deeper and closer in the inner thigh under the sartorius muscle (see the cross section I posted before, its the one labeled Femoral a. and v.). Outer thigh/Vastus lateralis is a super super safe injection site

Oh nvm I see which one you mean. The downwards branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery IS actually close to the vastus lateralis, but it looks to be more under the rectus femoris, or on the edge of it next to the vastus lateralis. So injecting a little bit further out onto the side and not inbetween the RF and VL could help you avoid it

>i only use the gov lgbt clinic for blood tests
>my endo there is a retard who wanted to hondose me
>2 pumps of oestrogel
>im latin american

lmao I think we might be going to the exact same clinic. I already bought valerate from astrovials, and cpa from a pharmacy, though it was hell to find one that had it in stock. I'm planning on also just lying and going my own way eventually doing monotherapy, using the clinic only for blood tests and ultrasounds, take the pills they give me in case of stalled breast growth, and just give away any AA they prescribe me to other tranners

It depends a lot on where you're from. In many countries it's OTC stuff, but if you live in america afaik you can only get it officially with a prescription. If that's your case, from what little I've read, your best shot is begging whoever manages your gender care to prescribe it to you

i got a clinic like that here (also latin american), should i just lie my way into getting blood tests, or be upfront with me taking diy injections, requiring just the blood tests without any of the hondosing? dunno if doing that can get me in trouble or smth

I feel like you should test the waters first and see how strongly they react. I'm bringing it up to my endo for the first time next tuesday, justifying it as a way to avoid being restricted to the very limited forms of hrt they have. I'll slowly introduce the idea, if she encourages me not to do it and can't be conviced with slight pushback, then I'll just lie. If you're worried they might find out, take your injection leaving a handful of extra days at the end of your cycle before your test, that way your levels don't seem too high for what they're giving to you.

I think any respectable medical professional will freak out if you tell them you want to inject yourself with stuff from a homebrewer and will strongly advise you against it, even if just to clear themselves of any wrongdoing if they're somehow chill with the idea of it. So IF you want to be open about it, maybe hold back that detail. If so, they might ask you what forms of hrt you're taking, plan for that and have a realistic answer. Look up what forms of hrt you can just buy at a pharmacy in your country and present those as your choice. Preferrably one that matches what you're actually taking (EEn, EV or EC)

I was planning on being upfront about it, but lying has the added benefit of them giving you meds you might want to use in certain cases, like pills to cycle on top of your injections for stalled breast growth or patches for E1 levels, and now you won't have to buy those yourself. Or at the very least, if you meet a pre everything tranner you can give her the stuff you don't use, most latin american gender clinics I know skip the process if you are already on hrt and refer you directly to an endo, or you can just give them away to other bitches that go to that same clinic for if they suddenly have a shortage

does anyone know if you also have to start on a low antiandrogen dose or is it just high e2 that stunts growth? can I just take 12.5mg of cpa from the start?
Anonymous No.41444592 [Report]

not rlly. honestly u want ur T levels to lower as soon as possible. eventually you'll be able to cut back on AA once ur body naturally generates less T, so its kinda the opposite ur describing lol

im brazilian, the public health doctors for trans health care are very bad in general, but thats true for the private doctors as well. you need to be very lucky or wealthy to get a good endocrinologist or just research yourself, DIY and etc

Did my endo irreparably fuck me over by starting me on spiro and an EC dose with a peak of 250pg/ml? I was 3 months on this shit, is there anything I can do about it besides switching off it immediately?

What, really? I thought subq was less painful.
I don't think there's any benefit to doing intramuscular over subcutaneous.
Subq requires shorter needles, it aches less afterwards, and it metabolizes faster.

I've been taking cypro with sublingual estradiol for roughly 7 months now, but when it came time to order more last month my usual supplier (united pharmacies) wasn't shipping to the US and I couldn't find anywhere else that accepted bitcoin payments (a necessity in my situation for privacy) that sold cypro. I ended up buying more estradiol with bica from dragon ordinance and was planning on continuing to take my remaining cypro while starting bica to keep my levels low while the bica starts to do its thing. problem is, I run out of estradiol in 2 days and my order has been shipping for nearly an entire month now, with 3-7 days left remaining on the package tracking. should I keep taking my cypro without estradiol for that in-between period and just tank the bone damage or whatever that does, or do I have to let my t levels rise in the meantime?

I got notified it was shipped on the 31st of august and then it got delivered at my local postal office on the 12th of september. Don't freak out yet because it's been longer for you, it depends a lot on what country you're from. The status updates from laposte are so shit and unclear, it also felt like it got stuck in france for a while, then I saw it enter the country, and when it arrived to my local post office it then said it was going to be returned because the address was wrong. It wasn't, and it was shipped to my home anyways. Look up if your gov has an official page to track parcels, the tracking number from laposte should also work there

is it bad to start out with Estradiol Undecylate injections once a month? it seems like a cheat to avoid needles instead of valerate once a week, but some google results were mixed
would it be better or ok to start out with transdermal and then switch to it to avoid the slow start associated with undecylate?
Anonymous No.41456447 [Report]
>>41456415
its totally fine to start with a method and then change to another, which i think it would work well with undecylate later
