It’s not like I think theists are grounded in reality, but that still doesn’t mean I’m in support of a complete extinction of said people. That leads to thinking people are incapable of change which is provably false. And it’s not strictly muslims being genocided; it’s everyone that is in Palestine; atheists, children, lgbt, or otherwise. I can still recognize that a blanket extermination of any group is heinous at the very core and so far removed from the ideal of being an altruistic human.

You’re still comparing a religion to a nation of people being genocided. And no, if Christians are being persecuted and executed for their beliefs in those countries that’s equally heinous. But that’s not suddenly a gotcha for Palestinians to be mass executed. Learn emapthy.
