Halfway through reading Way of Kings. I like it MUCH better than Name of the Wind, where Kvothe could do nothing wrong and felt like a self insert wish.
Some parts of the world building of Roshar feel very Reddit.
Kaladin and Shallan chapters feel very Reddit.
Dalinar and Szeth chapters are enjoyable.

He is, but he seems like a nice enough guy. He just has absolutely zero natural talent for writing and yet still managed to make a career out of it through sheer brute force. It would be admirable if it weren't a sign of rapidly declining literacy standards among the American public.
