It's no secret. Odd that this is even being brought up. Like almost everyone ever, he learned stuff and then added his own thoughts to it. There's some very clear differences between the thoughts of the two.

No, Nietzsche did not establish the 'whole design' for psychoanalysis or Analytical Psychology. What an utterly retarded take. Because Jung belongs to the Germanic intellectual tradition, and so does Nietzsche, and there are resemblances between their ideas, therefore everything in Jung is creditable to Nietzsche... Utterly moronic.

This is the result of philosophy becoming a fashionable subject among twitter retards.

Literal retardation. Jung was scornful of Nietzsche's "will to power," and noted he was a lifelong neurotic.sjty2

>Nietzsche lived ... in the lofty heights of heroic "sublimity" - heights that he could maintain only by the help of the most meticulous diet, and many aids to sleep - until the tension of this living shattered his brain. He spoke of yea-saying and lived the nay. His loathing for man, for the animal living by instinct, was too great.

>Hence his life does not convince us of his teaching. The "higher" man would be able to sleep without chloral, be able to live in Nuremberg and Basel despite "fogs and shadows". He would desire wife and offspring, standing and reputation among his own group ... This side of instinct Nietzsce did not see - the animal urge to Life.

Except no one knew that in the earlier part of the 20th century and the only reason academics started claiming that it was written by his sister was because it contradicted their liberal worldview and they needed to rebrand Nietzsche after WW2.

Completely false but ok, his sister was a well known Nazi who was openly rebranding his shit, this was common knowledge in the 30s and the Nazis approved of it as it made Nietzsche more palatable and useful to their cause...which is funny because....anyone who actually reads Nietzsche encounters enormous disdain for nationalism and Germans in general. The man hated Germans so much he larped as a Pole of all things just to get away from them.

people never seem to get that the reason nietzsche could diagnose all these ills is because he was intimately familiar with them himself, you'd think a smart guy like jung would be able to figure that out

His sister was only a well-known Nazi when the Nazis were coming to power. Before that, when The Will to Power was first published, everyone genuinely believed it was authentic. You clearly know nothing about Nietzsche if you think the Will to Power is in no way representative of his thought, and it's not even like most of it has anything to do with German nationalism. You're just parroting what you've heard others say. Nietzsche was writing about a Will to Power in his published works, and in his unpublished notes he was as well, only it seemed that his definition and understanding of it changed. Jung may have been critiquing the prior, and if he was critiquing the latter, I repeat, then it's not anything awfully far from what Nietzsche really believed.

>people never seem to get that the reason nietzsche could diagnose all these ills is because he was intimately familiar with them himself
Except Jung describes something in those quotes that Nietzsche never diagnosed in himself. You'd think a /lit/erate anon like yourself would be able to comprehend basic English.

the "germanic intellectual tradition" was chiefly hegelian, kantian, *christian* - not psychological. It was Schopy who veered it into a different direction, and Nietz who did major work on the project of psychological and symbolic analysis, greatly improving on what schopy had to say. That said, people who make these sweeping claims are almost always referring to some very specific thing that they are retardedly generalizing to be the whole - in this case it's the apollonian/dionysian in Nietz

nietzsche got new information from what practically works and jung got it from how other people felt about things
partly why I think nietzsche is an extremely practical philosopher (and his hatred of academics, people who just read books/don't do things) and jung's like fundamental view of everything was rooted in shared fundamental archetypes where his view of his own mind came from other people's values and concerns in myth and dreams

A neurotic only exposes the flaws in his own thinking. And your quote does not refute Jung's commentary.

Nietzsche was against nationalism because it wasn't right wing enough for him. And he criticized everyone for similar reasons.

Two retarded philososhitters with their vain janglings.

Philosophy is for r/iamverydeep dipshits who don't know the truth. And once you take a single step back from it, you'll realize how retarded the things philosophers say really are.

We know what Jung thought of Nietzsche, but what would Nietzsche think of Jung?
