>>24461542 (OP) It's true, I have an expanding Obsidian archive. I basically look at everything. Cosmology, statistics, esotericism, phenomenology of thought, history, /lit/ posts, decision theory, novel excerpts, simulation theory etc.
>>24461631 respect lots of jobs where you can just sit and read though the best job I had was a janitor, would sit in an isolated top floor room for the first half of my shift and read and scroll for 4 hours, then take a leisurely lunch, then get to work and clean and listen to podcasts the final 4 hours. was very comfy
>>24461542 (OP) Yes—and really, what’s so wrong with that? Knowledge, after all, is priceless. And who’s to say that, however unlikely it may seem now, this small indulgence won’t someday awaken in me the impulse to offer something of genuine worth to the world?
At some point I realized there is no point in reading, if you're not living by it. less reading more action

>>24461542 (OP) You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet.

>>24461667 Romantic-erotic novels for women. Its pretty much trash and i can recycle the same formulaic plot for every book. But normie women coomers will still buy them
Me with my pile of La Pléiades that I have on my shelf which I paid using my 10-15 hour a week dead end job whilst living rent free with my parents meanwhile I prefer reading from a computer because my French vocabulary isn't large enough to effortlessly read most authors and I'm too lazy to type up words to search them in a dictionary so I don't even read them I basically just pick them up, stroke them and smell them and channel my excitement about France and French literature into my brain through them so I can grind French books on my computer for 3-4 hours
>>24461542 (OP) >Work is the negation of eternity. The more goods we acquire in the temporal realm, the more intense our external work, the less accessible and farther removed is eternity. Hence the limited perspective of active and energetic people, the banality of their thought and actions. I am not contrasting work to either passive contemplation or vague dreaminess, but to an unrealizable transfiguration; nevertheless, I prefer an intelligent and observant laziness to intolerable, terrorizing activity. To awaken the modern world, one must praise laziness. The lazy man has an infinitely keener perception of metaphysical reality than the active one.

>>24461542 (OP) But I am gainfully employed in STEM, moved out from my parents back when I was 18 (on my own salary, no daddy-paid house), am actually the one financially supporting my parents and wanting them to get employed again, and it's Lenin and Mao on the walls, not Neech and Spinoza.
>>24463016 >>24463016 I'm not a billionarie, six-foot tall handsome violent sociopath with big muscles, tattoos that at the same time consider women trash but is also obsessed to love a random nobody mid secretary with no relevant character traits (this is litterally the average plot summary editors wants if you desire to be published). So no
Knowing how women brain's work mean nothing if you are not the kind of man that turn them into degenerate coomers by mere existing. But at least i made some money from learning how they get turned one
OP is right. Learning to please customers for Shlomo and filling your mind with ways in which to maximize productivity for your masters is superior to learning by reading books.
