>>24462968 (OP)I've discovered that this is not a woman phenomenon but I have a theory for why it seems to be.
After starting a book club, which includes many of my male college educated and generally intelligent friends, I realized that almost everyone is incapable of analyzing a book in general. Going beyond surface level is something that has to be practiced and trained.
What's more, the men and women both understand they are not analyzing well. The difference between the sexes is that the men would never publish their mediocrity, but the women do. This makes it seem like women booktokers are dumber; in actuality they are just less ashamed of their ignorance or lack of skill.
