Does reading get more or less enjoyable when you're old?
Some of the novelty and excitement fades but it is very satisfying to understand what you read and be able to connect it with the vast amount of stuff you have already read

I don't know if I'm old, but I'm much older than when I started. My tastes and the way I read have changed, but I still enjoy it.

It's different. When you're young you're discovering things in books. When you're older you have more life experience and you can relate more to stuff happening in books.
Yeah. It‘s just another same of the same again and again slightly worded in a different way. It goes from being exciting novelty to smug bias confirmation. Both kinda cringe in their own way.
