lack of hindsight allows for the possibility of epistemic clarity that would justify not doing it

I don't want to right now. Therefore I cannot discount the possibility that even if at some point in the future I do want to at some later point I would not want to.

You didn't understand Camus if you are still looking for an epistemic justufication.

Whether you should or not kill yourself from an epistemic standpoint is all but irrelevant. Your central nervous system has evolved and refined itself over hundreds of millions of years to accomplish one task : keep you alive for as long as possible. The act of killing yourself is a biological aberration that will never find any justification in philosophy because it goes against everything that exists in the cosmos itself, and which contributed to your incarnation here and now. Thought mechanics are powerless to deconstruct a law that is as universal and tangible as time and space : the imperative to keep living.

>keep you alive for as long as possible
Wrong. It has evolved to keep you alive long enough to produce offspring. If you fail to do that or have already successfully done that, by the biological argument, you should kill yourself.

Producing offspring is only part of the equation. The biological imperative keeps you alive to the very end to cater for your offspring, protect the members of your tribe, secure terrestrial dominance, ensure your peers produce offspring and protect them in turn, etc. Humans did not evolve to simply pass on their DNA and die out in an individualist fashion. Life thrives in communities and gregariousness, at least in most mammals. Your argument is an egoistical one completely removed from the realities of life from the way it evolved. Get out of your own head, you're not the center of the world.

there are plenty of reasons to stay alive after mating or ”failing” to mate, even within your edgelord line of reasoning.

If life is meaningless then death is meaningless too, simple as that. You don't need evidence because it's obvious. If death is meaningless, you might as well stop jerking off to furry inflation porn and get a job.

What does epistemic mean? Knowledge? Truth value or something? I always forget because I'm not smart. My argument against suicide is that if you commit suicide you don't get to watch YouTube videos anymore and that would be kind of gay because there are lots of fun YouTube videos being released all the time to watch like speedrun history videos or OneyPlays compilations or videos about Minecraft fun facts or whatever. Also, you could just eat all your favourite foods all the time and get really fat instead of killing yourself. Ez, I won the argument!

no such thing. a wave doesn’t go into some state of nothingness when it hits the shore, it was just a thing the ocean did. same with consciousness, the universe looks for a little while then stops.
