The biological imperative keeps you alive to the very end to cater for your offspring, protect the members of your tribe, secure terrestrial dominance, ensure your peers produce offspring and protect them in turn, etc. Humans did not evolve to simply pass on their DNA and die out in an individualist fashion. Life thrives in communities and gregariousness, at least in most mammals. Your argument is an egoistical one completely removed from the realities of life from the way it evolved. Get out of your own head, you're not the center of the world.
