What drove you to write this book?

My professional career aspirations had collapsed and I was working at a call center. Was severely disillusioned with how working in America actually feels. Was also pretty influenced by the political environment around 2015-2018 and how cruel it was to regular people. The book is ultimately about how people of regular/less than average means are just ground to dust in the American system and that change happens now at such a rate that said people never get a good footing.

I just converted the manuscript to a pdf and made sure the margins matched the print book specifications. I screwed it up a few times but eventually got it right. Honestly whoever said that works are never finished, they’re abandoned was totally correct. At one point I just got sick of looking at it and said “good enough” lol
