well I don't know why the hell you'd feel the need to assert that I'm not a good salesman, if you noticed from the start that I am in fact not a salesman at all

seems ever so slightly retarded, perhaps a little autistic as well

I called you out sarcastically on your poor ability to sell the book to me after I asked you to do so. I then sarcastically remarked that I had noticed that you lacked the qualities a salesman should have.

read it or don't, I don't give a shit

if you have to be extensively told why a book is worth reading, you're probably too autistic to pick up on any intellectual merit a book could offer you anyway

you should read it though

idk how I could sell it to you without spoiling what happens in it, but if you like existential books, or even movies that tend to explore interpersonal relationships and characters in an interesting way, then you should like it

He has a 100 page novel called Morning and Evening, but honestly I'd say there's nothing wrong with starting at Septology.

Yes it's long but it's not hard to comprehend, and the book flows very well so it doesn't feel like 700 pages.

Lol, you are actually convincing me to not read Jon Fosse at all.
If all the readers of this book are pedantic sophists who can't properly describe a literary work and can't argue in good faith like you are, then I don't want anything to do with it.

So it is either a plotfag book, so not worth getting through its length, or you yourself are a hopeless plotfag so your opinion is worth very little and you should not be trusted as an arbiter of quality
Really off-putting. And to think I planned to check it out myself eventually before this thread. Guess I'll go for knausgard instead

Nobel posers are the worst. Fosse is a far cry from early Minuit stuff. Everything about his prose is basic and is poetry is straight up doggerel. I guess non-yuros weren’t familiar with his style...?
