Yes, for a while. Then in the middle of the skill curve you'll become really loud and obnoxious, crossing a lot of borders. Then when continuing reading, you'll repent for your loudness and find inner peace in litteris and in the act of studying and reading.

If you can even read lots of books that would mean you're probably not that stupid. Even if you are somewhat stupid, the knowledge you will inevitably gain from reading just some books will allow you to pretend you're less stupid than your peers, but don't push it, or else the stupidity will make itself visible, sooner or later.
