He might be right but foundationally his philosophy is just another reaction against the demystification and rationalisation of the world. You can see this given the fact he was essentially a renegade Catholic who in his youth was training to become a Jesuit, clearly his religious inclinations lead him to attempting to rediscover the mystical in philosophy.
