listen to audiobooks if you want to know the exact time it takes you to finish a book. also its not about reaching the end. a book is good when you dont want it to end.
You simply must consume faster. I find skipping anything but dialogue really helps me consume more in a week to reach my reading goals of SEVENTY SHITTY BOOKS LOADED STRAIGHT INTO MY SLOP-TROUGH THAT I CAN READ AND FORGET ABOUT INT HE VERY NEXT INSTANT READ MORE FASTER FAST READ IT FAST FINISH BOOK MOST IMPORTANT FINISHT THE BOOK NEVER READ AGAIN NEVER THINK ABOUT AGAIN CAN SAY I READ CONSUME CONSUME

Rookie numbers. I looked up how long it takes to read The Idiot, supposedly it can be read in like 10 hours, it took me triple that time.

Checked the stats on my Kobo >Herodotus’ Histories - 30 hours >Iliad + Odyssey - 30 hours >Brave Soldier Svejk - 18 hours
Idiot would be closer 20-25 for me. But is it even worth reading?
