Get a copy of Thrasymachus by Peckett & Munday or Athenaze. Read a sentence, hold it in your mind, say it, then write it out. Do that for the whole book and supplement with grammatical study.

Luke, please, not everyone is that slow. You can drill most of the basic vocab to reduce the need for a dictionary to a rarity.
