I never claimed hearing an oratory is the same as reading. You people on the other hand claim that looking at screens to consume digital files is reading. Your analogy is terribly chosen.

Perfect compromise:
Get a refillable ink printer and a comb binder.
Pirate books, print them 2-sided and comb bind them
(I do this)

Also what are you saying lmao, it's been downfor 2 months before and came back, now it's been 5 days

These shadow libraries are like cockroaches, nigh unkillable and even if they do go down 2 more pop up in their place

it is the result of the breakdown of the commodification of information as a result of the widespread computerization

Dude, ebook readers are not that expensive if you price in the amount of money you save when using sites like libgen RIP or Anna's archive, lel.
Best get one with at least a 10 inch epaper display to make reading pdf files without scrolling more fun and less annoying.
I can carry around my entire collection of books / datasheets on my ebook reader so I don't have to plan ahead what to bring to read when I'm out and about. It's pretty dope. Also, old books smell weird and often weigh more than my reader, so it's even more comfy to read on the device compared to reading a hard-copy book.
I'll go to hell for stealing a bunch of books but I guess it's worth it for the convenience of being able to carry my whole collection everywhere I go.
Get with the times, gramps.

Even though it would suck if it never came back, I downloaded enough to keep me busy for a few years and that's not counting rereads.
Plus I do have books and do go to the library.

way better than using a fucking phone. and it's not like book technology has progressed so the cheap "out of date" ones from 2 generations ago still work just fine
