I miss my old life. Massive head trauma is a lot to decompress from. It’s going along nicely but in the mean time, I’m stuck with a brain that can’t react or respond the same way it used to. It's more like the resultant emotions revealed to me the incompatibilities between me and my wife. I married her for the wrong reasons and it shows in our dysfunctional relationship. You've got to imagine that many of these great writers before the internet would spend 10+ hours a day reading. Oh to reach that level of passion and dedication again. Here I am feeling good about reading for 1-2 hours a day while I spend the rest of my free time listening to music, reading 4chan and reddit and online articles, and watching videos. I need to turn off the computer and put away the smartphone for more hours of the day.

I just got back from surgery. They removed part of my frontal lobe because my risk aversion and contentedness paralyzed my decision making. Now I'm very angry and risky as befits our society.
