If math is the language of the universe and the whole numbers start with one, does that mean that the universe started with one god, and thus, Monotheism? What's the logical fallacy here?
>>24489732 (OP) The fallacy is that there's nothing whatsoever linking the first whole number and monotheism. It's actually embarrassing you even posit this.

Math is not the language of the universe. There is no language of the universe.
We don't actually know that. It's just worked so far.

>>24489732 (OP) the whole numbers (I assume you mean the integers) don’t “start” with anything. They are unbounded. Every ring is the principal ideal of its unit, but that’s just baked into the definition. There are plenty of categories with neither an initial nor terminal object and plenty of them where they coincide. Git gud.

>>24489817 >The Natural Numbers start with zero. no, it starts at 1. "0" is merely an informal description of absence. like when you have 14 of an object, you have "0" of what constitutes 15.
>>24490468 >"0" is merely an informal description of absence You can make that statement only by applying operations and interpretations to the natural numbers, and which you apply is a matter of convention only. You are using the later to understand the earlier. The Peano axioms are indifferent towards calling the initial element zero or one.

math is like gender a social construct so that's a kinda dumb premise op but that's why u posted a frog cuz this is an engagement farm anyways what if we use a nondecimal or nonbinary system to count like how about a base 1/3 system then one is actually .333 so if u start counting at one u got 1/3 of a god
>>24490924 ya i realized 1 is always 1 half way through writing that post but its frog thread so i posted it anyways

>>24489732 (OP) You're confusing "beginning" in an ordinal sense with "beginning" in a temporal sense. You're also assuming a metaphysical correlation between language and reality.
