I just realized that my paperback copy of The Hobbit that I've owned since like, 1999 never connects Bilbo's magic ring to the One Ring.

Is that odd? Is it worth money?

No. Because Tolkien didn't wrote LotR or any of its lore until after The Hobbit. The Hobbit is literally a bedtime story he made up for his children telling them one chapter per night or some gay shit like that.

Writing a bedtime story for your offspring is literally the opposite of gay, unlike your trap porn addiction

The childrens story was just an excuse he gave his friends, since at that time writing fantasy was looked down upon.
