What's the only useful writing advice you've ever heard?
Write what you want to read.
Read a lot. Even bad books will teach you, which is a lesson on how not to write.
mine is more general but includes /lit/
Don't miss the forest for the tree.
Don't delete anything that you've written
No matter how garbage you think it is, just put it in a scrap folder, don't delete it
don't expect anyone to read your book
exclusively bad advice so far, good job

while reading Wittgenstein i came up with the phrase "describe dont tell". i think its better than "show dont tell" because it captured the idea of description of everything rather than just the actions of a person
it is if you say it is and it is not if you do not
Listen to my advice and ignore the others (I have no writing experience)

also don't be afraid to copy a style you like
