More people believe in science and thus Darwinism. This leads to nihilism and thus hedonism. People know that life is meaningless and so they try to find some cope. Some people try to form some Gegenkultur and try to revive christianity as its been on a hard decline the last decades. All ideals and dogma perish and people loose motivation to strive for something higher. The sexual freedom destroys families and thus most people become emotionally isolated.
People will start noticing all the negatives when you can't deny that it is bad for humans. They will be some reversal of conservative movement that will get stronger and may win. Shit that kind of happens in Europe now. Or it is to late and more wars will break out .

Sorry, but we Westerners are nearing the apex of the story that is our historical destiny. In our lifetime, we will see wars abroad, probably with China, Russia, Iran, their aligned nations, and maybe even India, as well as civil wars and possibly even race riots turn race wars at home and maybe even abroad. These will last close to a decade, maybe more. None of these conflicts will be as brutal a war as either of the world wars, but they will be far more inhuman and probably the most intellectually difficult challenge we Westerners will ever face. The only reason we haven’t slid fully into these yet is because boomers who believe in shit like the fourth turning and want to keep the world a giant marketplace for doing business the American way, are reluctant to fuck with the money hustle and afraid of the weaponry they helped acquire. We will see nuclear weapons used again in our lifetimes and they are death afraid of being blamed for that.
