Dunsany went bankrupt several times. He wasn't as rich as you make him out to be. He had to sell many books from his personal holdings. over half of his vellum bound manuscripts, including over half of the manuscripts of the king of elfland's daughter are at the university of texas because he had to sell them to a collector to make ends meet.

Yes, he was often wealthy and had an extravagant life. But he had hardship too.

I don't think he had a cloudless easy life. He seems to have been part of a tradition of soldier fantasy writers (Tolkien, Richard Adams, C.S Lewis) and so he would have seen gore and death and other terrible things
But some artists today often wish they were an aristocrat because servants would take care of their chores and they would have more working time
Interesting about the books

Yes. Almost Dunsany too, at least from civil unrest. He returned home from fighting in 1918 I think, and there was a riot going on in Dunsany. And as he was driving home, his car was attacked by assassins, and shield his driver from the attack he got shot in the head and somehow survived with a bullet lodged in his skull for the rest of his life. I've read all the very obscure biographies of Dunsany of the time, one recounting that once he saved someone from drowning on a beach. I collect all his works and study him, but he was a very enigmatic person overall. There is only 1 recording of his voice extant. There was television footage of him once from BBC but it is now considered lost media. But the air of mystery and a strong mythos surrounding Dunsany continues to this day.

Here's a real photograph of the man himself in his later age, 1952. His signature is on it as well.

One thing that perplexes me about women is how if a book has โ€œsexismโ€ or โ€œracismโ€ in it or any values that they the reader disagree with, that makes the book lower quality somehow, enough to give it a 1 star rating.

For example, I think Michael Moorcock is a huge fucking faggot libtard and I think Elric is a weak pussy libtard but I still recognize that the quality of the Elric of Melnibone stories/books are genuinely quite good.

Is weaving considered the crafts? That is the actual women's work and the aimlessness of women today is derived from how weaving, maintenance, and repair of clothing was the first thing to be ruthlessly automated away by the industrial revolution.

You mention Athens, note how in Greek myth Athena loses her shit because Arachne, a woman, is more skilled at weaving than the goddess so Athena curses her.

Women can't enjoy literature because although on average, women have higher IQ than men, the greatest works of literature and fiction were made by extremely high IQ men (who collectively outnumber and outdo high IQ women). Most great books are genuinely too complex or nuanced for average women to understand as products of people existing in different parts of history.

Take the average man. Now make him slightly clever but take away his self-awareness, remove his accountability and reason, then make him emotionally dysregulated and a massive consumer who cares too much about the opinions of others. This is your average female reader.

Female bell curve is tighter with less outliers. They are unironically all midwits.

She was a White aristocrat and antisemitic but she found that White men frowned on her intellectual pursuits so she married a Jew
It's actually surprisingly common. My aunt's friend who is a formerly Christian math professor ended up with some Israeli bodybuilder

Weaving used to be considered the crafts. Same with sewing and lace-making and other textile related work. A lot of societies were actually less sexist than you might think because women were trusted with some of the most important crafts to keep a society running; you would literally be naked without them
It's also true that girls were writing poems and making pottery since time immemorial; Athens was considered unusually sexist for its time because emotional/romantic connections were outsourced to homosexuals

it's becoming increasingly difficult for me to justify why women deserve to have the same rights as, or be treated equally, to men

If the human prince killing her guards and running away with her would've been written from the female POV and was accompanied by a graphic erotic scene it would've been the typical romance novel enjoyed by thousands of women.

So what's the actual issue?

Woolf was a great writer. Am I supposed to be annoyed that a woman finds male abstractions like honour boring? Of course she does: she's a woman.

Seems dumb to rage at women when they're just being true to their nature. If anything they're too masculine these days. They've become retarded with penis envy.

On the contrary, I find the endless male self-congratulations from the average failed normie newfag to be the most homoerotic. They get agitated and annoyed whenever anon even briefly agree with some female point of view. Hatred of women is only meant to be ironic, not sincere. All of this is spiritually homosexual. Like all the radfem who are slowly turning into spiritual dykes. Cut from the same cloth.

It's not an "own" more like an observation that nerds tend to marry out of their own ethnic group. Being married to Virginia was probably the equivalent of being married to Lovecraft and Hemingway, sure they were brilliant but they made their (non-White) wives/husbands suffer.
