>>24498608Yes. Almost Dunsany too, at least from civil unrest. He returned home from fighting in 1918 I think, and there was a riot going on in Dunsany. And as he was driving home, his car was attacked by assassins, and shield his driver from the attack he got shot in the head and somehow survived with a bullet lodged in his skull for the rest of his life. I've read all the very obscure biographies of Dunsany of the time, one recounting that once he saved someone from drowning on a beach. I collect all his works and study him, but he was a very enigmatic person overall. There is only 1 recording of his voice extant. There was television footage of him once from BBC but it is now considered lost media. But the air of mystery and a strong mythos surrounding Dunsany continues to this day.
