>everyone agrees that only European literature matters
>the continent just did collective suicide
Hmm, i wonder why noone is writing anymore. Probably because everyone is dead or too traumatized.
And no, socialist slop will never be real literature, fuck off.

Saw some dame reading that new Great Gatsby novel from that floozy-marrying bastard whose star has faded before it shone. I gave a right good smack across the lip for being so public about reading such tripe. Weโ€™re set to be married next week.

I personally know the author of the novel you mentioned. Met him once at a tavern. He's a good sport but his madam was screwy.

Iโ€™d have to recommend the abridged version of this but not the unabridged. The latter is unnecessary long.

Growing up on the farm. I didn't even there was such a thing as "cocaine". And now I can't stop doing it! Alcohol is nice, as is tobacco.

What were we talking about again? oh yes, books. I can't bring myself to read when hundredthousandairs are throwing these "drug" parties every night.

Keep your dull books to yourself.

These dixies need to learn to read. Raise a bunch of niggers and they become one. How on God's green Earth have they not read Darwin's theory of evolution? Snopes just teaching enlightenment theory and now we have a boatload of fundamentalists crying foul.

Don't bother, read it while on holiday in England not but a year ago: I found it to be nothing but modernist jibber-jabber, probably written by a communist. Mr. Joyce has some other books and I don't know if they're similar - frankly I don't want to know! Steer clear of it and stick to proper Anglo-Saxon literature such as Ben-Hur without any (((Irish)))) deconstructionism.

Bloody madman that one. Horrible writing. Bloody scandalous. Entirely unconducive to the betterment of oneโ€™s moral character. The Irish have never been able to construct a well and good novel because the language was imposed upon them. Their savage minds have not yet developed their powers to acquire the wit necessary to express oneself in the novel form. Save for their inherent low cunning I would think all forms of industry and elocution beyond them.

Niggery pokery I call it.
Anyway, the reason poetry is so shit now is because of the romantics. Before, poets knew how to write poetry properly with end stopped couplets, then savages like Keats came along with their shitty โ€˜innovativeโ€™ enjambment and the next thing you know you have all this French libre slop. Crabbe was the last gasp of English poetry
